Electrician in Beverly Hills, FL

Added Circuits, Full Panels, and Service Upgrades|Repairs and Outdoor Wiring|Licensed & Insured, EC13011268

Most Beverly Hills homes have two bedrooms, by census estimates, and a house that size was wired with a short list of circuits. An appliance added since has had to find a place on that list.

Call (352) 251-2795, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., or send a request online. Calls after hours are returned the next business day.

What a Small Beverly Hills House Was Wired For

Two bedrooms and one kitchen take fewer circuits than a larger house, so the panel may have started out with fewer breakers and less room for new ones. About four in five Beverly Hills homes date from the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s, by census estimates.

Over the decades, a house like that takes on more: a dishwasher, a microwave, a dryer, a second refrigerator in the garage, central air. Each addition got its own circuit or was added to one that was already there. On a visit, the question is which, and what the panel and the service have left. A breaker that trips when two appliances run together can mean the two share a circuit.

When the air conditioner sat in the window

Buyers at the time of Beverly Hills' first lot sales were looking for small homes with air-conditioning units in the windows, a 1999 St. Petersburg Times story recalled. Those plug into an outlet. Central air takes one circuit to the outdoor unit, with a disconnect beside it, and another to the air handler, where any electric heat strips draw heavily when they run.

Where a house wired without central air has since had a central air system or a heat pump installed, both circuits were added later. What gets checked there is how: the breaker and wire sizes against the equipment's nameplate, the disconnect at the outdoor unit, and the way the new breakers were fitted into the panel. The equipment itself belongs to your HVAC contractor, and the circuits that feed it are our work.

How a Beverly Hills Job Gets Booked

01

Our office staff answers the phone during business hours. A repair is booked as a service visit. For a subpanel or panel change, our estimator visits first and runs a load calculation to determine what your service can carry.

02

Repair and troubleshooting visits are billed by the hour from arrival: $100 residential, $150 commercial, one-hour minimum, then half-hour increments, plus materials. No trip charge and no service fee. No hidden fees: the 3.5% surcharge on card and ACH payments is listed in our terms.

03

We don't do upfront pricing. No job has a standard price with us: each one is tailored to the property and the work you've asked for, and priced once we've seen it.

We offer free estimates on installs, upgrades, and replacements in our service area. Estimates aren't free when the job needs troubleshooting or testing to price, falls after hours or outside our service area, needs several meetings to gather information, or is new construction or a custom remodel with multi-party walk-throughs. For most jobs, estimates arrive by email by the end of the next business day, and quotes are good for 30 days.

04

Custom homes and large or multi-phase projects are estimated as soon as we can, or on the timeline your project sets.

Outdoor Projects

Outdoor Projects on a Beverly Hills Lot

Where the power lines run can decide where a shed, a carport, or a pool goes, and a small lot may not offer a second spot. The county has met the problem itself: its Beverly Hills Advisory Council recorded in its February 2026 minutes that a new shed there was on hold because Duke Energy found that power lines near the site had to be moved first.

If an overhead line feeds your house, look at where it crosses the yard before you pick the spot. A building or a pool under or beside that line can mean moving one or the other, and that's easier to sort out before a slab is poured.

Deed restrictions recorded unit by unit

The Clerk of Court's index lists deed restrictions recorded unit by unit, from Beverly Hills Unit 1 through Unit 8, so read your own deed before a post light, a shed circuit, or pool equipment goes in. When the job needs a county permit, we pull it with the Citrus County Building Division.

Frequently Asked questions

Frequently Asked in Beverly Hills

Can a window air conditioner run on a regular bedroom outlet?

It depends on the unit and on what else that circuit feeds. The electrical code limits a plug-in room air conditioner to half of the circuit's rating when the same circuit also supplies lights or other outlets, and one circuit can cover more than one room. The unit's nameplate lists its amps. If the unit is over that share, or the breaker trips when it starts, the fix is a circuit of its own.

Does Duke Energy have to come out for a panel change?

If your bill is from Duke Energy, Duke lets our electrician pull the meter. Who may do that is up to the power company. Duke Energy has lines and customers in Beverly Hills, and the name on your bill settles it for your address. We coordinate with Duke on work that reaches its side of the service. Don't touch the meter or its seal yourself.
