Electrician in Odessa, FL

Outdoor Lighting, Panels, EV Chargers, and Repairs|Licensed & Insured, EC13011268

An Odessa mailing address can be on either side of a county line. We work on the Pasco County side, which takes in Starkey Ranch and Asturia, and much of the housing there is newer and planned.

We install outdoor lighting on this side of Odessa, and we handle panels, EV chargers, and repairs. In Starkey Ranch, the association's rules cap the number of landscape lights at 10 unless the review committee approves more.

Call (352) 251-2795, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., or send a request online. Calls after hours are returned the next business day.

Mention Starkey Ranch or Asturia if the home is in either one.

The Part of Odessa We Work In

The part we work in is the Pasco County side: Odessa itself, Starkey Ranch, and Asturia. We pull permits for this side of Odessa with Pasco County Building Construction Services.

Starkey Ranch, a master-planned community, was built on ranch land bought for it in 2013. It has its own property owners' association and review committee, and so does Asturia, so the rules in one don't carry over to the other.

Community pages for Starkey Ranch and Asturia each list Duke Energy as the electric provider. Elsewhere in Odessa, the electric bill names the provider. When the work calls for a shut-off, we coordinate it with that company.

Starkey Ranch Outdoor Lighting

Starkey Ranch Puts Numbers on Outdoor Lighting

The Starkey Ranch association reminded owners in August 2026 that exterior lighting and fixtures need its review committee's approval before work starts. The owner makes that request. The figures here come from its Design Guidelines, as revised February 27, 2026. Under them, the committee reviews exterior lights on measurable criteria, including lumen output, color temperature, beam angle, and light spilling past the lot line.

01

Path and bed lights

Low-voltage or solar landscape lighting is permitted along walkways, planting beds, and other landscaped areas when its wiring is concealed, and no fixture stands taller than 18 inches. The count stops at 10 fixtures per lot unless the committee approves more.

The limit is on fixtures, so expect an uplight in a planting bed to count toward the 10, just like a path light.

02

Permanent accent lights on the roofline

Permanent accent lighting may be approved on street-facing sections of the house. The light has to be warm white, 2700K to 2800K. The system has to be low-voltage, 12 to 24 volts DC, and built from commercial-grade products designed for permanent outdoor use. A color-changing system qualifies only if it has a dedicated warm-white mode set as its default, and a strip that mixes its white from red, green, and blue has none. Color is allowed only from 30 days before a publicly observed holiday until 20 days after it.

Starkey Ranch Lighting FAQ

Fine Print on Starkey Ranch Lighting

Our accent lights went up before the lighting rules were revised. Do they have to change?

The guidelines say an amendment doesn't apply retroactively to work that was already approved and completed, or in progress.

Can a fixture the rules don't mention go up?

It can't go up without the committee's written approval, and the committee may say no. The February 2026 revision added a line prohibiting any exterior change the guidelines don't expressly permit.

Hourly Calls and Emailed Quotes in Odessa

01

Repair and troubleshooting visits are billed by the hour from arrival: $100 residential, $150 commercial, one-hour minimum, then half-hour increments, plus materials. No trip charge and no service fee. No hidden fees: the 3.5% surcharge on card and ACH payments is listed in our terms.

02

We don't do upfront pricing. No job has a standard price with us: each one is tailored to the property and the work you've asked for, and priced once we've seen it.

We offer free estimates on installs, upgrades, and replacements in our service area. Estimates aren't free when the job needs troubleshooting or testing to price, falls after hours or outside our service area, needs several meetings to gather information, or is new construction or a custom remodel with multi-party walk-throughs. For most jobs, estimates arrive by email by the end of the next business day, and quotes are good for 30 days.

03

Custom homes and large or multi-phase projects are estimated as soon as we can, or on the timeline your project sets.
