Ceiling Fan Installation in Bayonet Point, FL
Indoor Fans and Wet-Rated Lanai Fans|Licensed & Insured, EC13011268
Kennedy Electric installs ceiling fans in Bayonet Point homes, in bedrooms, the living room, and on the lanai. Every fan is sized to its room, mounted on a box built to hold it, and, out on the lanai, rated for the wet weather a screen lets through.
Give each room and roughly how big it is.

Two-Bedroom Houses and the Fans They Take
Two bedrooms is the usual layout here. By census estimates, that describes roughly two-thirds of the homes in Bayonet Point, and close to 2,500 more have three. So a fan job in town can be a set of three, one in each bedroom and one in the living room, with the screened lanai as a fourth where the house has one. The three-bedroom houses add a room to that list.
In Pasco County, a fan for a ceiling with no fixture yet means new interior wiring, work the county's residential electrical sheet lists as needing a permit. About 1,000 Bayonet Point homes are mobile homes, by the same census estimates, and in one of those the fan's own instructions decide how low its blades may hang, so each ceiling is measured before a model is chosen.
How it runs
How the Fans Go Up
-
1
Both bedrooms on one visit
Both bedrooms are measured on the same visit, wall-to-wall and floor-to-ceiling, and the fixture in each is opened to read the box above it, so the two fans can be picked up side by side.
-
2
A bare ceiling, on the lanai or inside
A fan wanted where no fixture hangs, such as a lanai ceiling, gets a new box fed by cable from a switch. That run is permitted work: Kennedy Electric files with Pasco, and a county inspector checks it once it's in.
-
3
Boxes brought up to fan duty
A box without a fan-support marking comes out. A fan-rated box goes in, fastened to the framing or to a brace between the ceiling joists. Where the attic above can be reached, the brace can go in from above; where it can't, a brace made to fit through the ceiling opening is used.

Every speed and every control
Every fan is balanced and run at each speed, and its controls are walked through with you, including the light kit and the wall control or remote, so each one is ready to use when the work is done.

What we cover
Bedroom by Bedroom, Then Out to the Lanai
The main bedroom: Often the larger of the two, so it can take a wider fan. Where the bed sits under the fixture, the blades are hung well above anyone sitting up against the headboard.
The second bedroom: Smaller in many two-bedroom houses. Its fan is picked for that room's size, so the blades don't reach toward the walls, even if it shares a finish with the fan next door.
The living room: Measured on its own, since its size sets how wide a fan it can take. A long living room can take two smaller fans instead of one oversized one.
A mobile home's bedrooms: Each ceiling is measured first, and a close-mount fan, one that sits tight to the ceiling, keeps its blades up where a downrod would bring them too low.
The screened lanai: A screen keeps out leaves and bugs, but damp air and blowing rain still reach the fan, so the lanai gets a wet-rated model, which is what we recommend for lanais.
Pricing
Pricing Each Room's Fan
Each room's ceiling height, whether the attic above it can be reached, and the size of the fan move the price, along with any box that has to be replaced first.
Repair and troubleshooting visits are billed by the hour from arrival: $100 residential, $150 commercial, one-hour minimum, then half-hour increments, plus materials. No trip charge and no service fee. No hidden fees: the 3.5% surcharge on card and ACH payments is listed in our terms.
We don't do upfront pricing. No job has a standard price with us: each one is tailored to the property and the work you've asked for, and priced once we've seen it.
We offer free estimates on installs, upgrades, and replacements in our service area. Estimates aren't free when the job needs troubleshooting or testing to price, falls after hours or outside our service area, needs several meetings to gather information, or is new construction or a custom remodel with multi-party walk-throughs. For most jobs, estimates arrive by email by the end of the next business day, and quotes are good for 30 days.
